Maastricht scoort hoog in kwaliteit

6 mei 2011 | De toonaangevende ranking in Europa, die van CHE met Die Zeit, laat zien dat tien Nederlandse universiteiten uitstekende resultaten halen in een Europese vergelijking van de geboden kwaliteit. Grote winnaar daarbij is de UM: "excellent results, reaching top positions in business administration, political science and economics."

CHE maakt bekend dat de volgende 10 universiteiten uit ons landzijn vergeleken met collega-instellingen aan de hand van dedoorwrochte criteria en werkwijze die het instituut in de loop vande jaren heeft ontwikkeld. Het betreft de Universiteit vanAmsterdam, Technische Universiteit Delft, Technische UniversiteitEindhoven, Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, Universiteit Leiden,Universiteit Maastricht, Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen,Universiteit Utrecht, Universiteit van Tilburg en UniversiteitTwente. Daarbij zijn dit jaar de nieuwste data bijengebracht voorde vlgende disciplines: ‘business administration, economics,political science, sociology/social sciences, media studies andindustrial engineering’.

“[They] are being compared with the higher educationinstitutions in Germany, Austria and Switzerland on the subjectlevel. Each year the Centre for Higher Education (CHE) updates thedata for a third of the subjects. The Universiteit Maastrichtachieved some excellent results, reaching top positions in businessadministration, political science and economics.”

De internationale oriëntatie van de studies in ons land wordtbij een reeks van intellingen nadrukkelijk positiefbeoordeeld. “The Universiteit van Amsterdam appears in the topgroup for international orientation in business administration. TheTU Delft and the TU Eindhoven achieved top positions in industrialengineering. Rijksuniversiteit Groningen placed in the top groupfor international orientation in the subject of businessadministration. Media studies at Universiteit Leiden is alsoperforming well in terms of international orientation.”

In de gamma hoek zijn ook gunstige resultaten te melen.”Nijmegen achieved several top positions in political science andsociology/social sciences. For some indicators, Universiteit vanTilburg features in the top groups for media and communicationalstudies, business administration and economics whilst UniversiteitTwente has several top group positions in communicational studies,business administration, political sciences and sociology/socialsciences.”

CHE heeft ook dit jaar weer een uitputtende analyse weten teproduceren van ht Ho in een reeks landen in de EU. “Over 2500departments from more than 300 higher education institutions inGermany and its neighbouring countries were surveyed. Each year theCentre for Higher Education updates the data for a third ofall university subjects.”
